"Women of Burma Day" event in honor of the Birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi

are cosponsoring a celebration of "Women of Burma Day"

in honor of the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi (Nobel Laureate-1991)

A message from Daw Aung San Suu Kyi will be delivered and speakers will include Congressman Tom Lantos, Congresswoman Louise Slaughter.  A message from Dr. Sein Win, Prime Minister of the National Coalition Government of the Union of Burma will also be delivered.

A panel discussion will be held.  Panelists include Naw May Oo (NCGUB-Women's Affairs, New York) Yuzana Khin (Burmese Women's Union-East Coast/USA, Shalini Nataraj (Unitarian Universalist Service Committee) and Khin Ohmar (Burmese Women's Union-Thailand).
