Shi . Shadow .. Wrong again .. Wrong again

"Shi-Shadow--Shi-Shadow-- ha-ha--I have found her-I have found

her--it's you, it's you." It was the latest advertisement for Shi-Shadow

brand  lipsticks modeled by Dwe and Nanda Hiaing, which appeared on

the television programmes of Myawady TV. While the television was on

theWest wind came  blowing. Though the wind that blew during this

season and time  should carry the fragrance of Cowers, the odor that

came together' with this Western wind was the smell of the sick.

The TV  advertisement appeared on the screen for  another  time.

"Shi- Shadow-Shi-Shadow--wrong again--wrong again."

I made a comparison between the Western wind with the smell of the

sick and the Myanmar traditions and traits. We Myanmars are ever active

to render help in social occasions of joy of grief. If a person is ill and is in

a serious situation Myanmars always visit the patient whether he

(the Patient) is their neighbour or not. Even People from distant areas

came to his house to ask after his health. Giving tender and

affectional treatment, encouragement, words of consolation, food

and Catumadu (tonic) to a Patient is a Myanmar tradition and

character. Pure Myanmar national races still accept and

practice this tradition as a noble trait. In the Myanmar way of life, there

is a tradition of visiting patients. But the patients never show up at

every door or visit his or her own father, mother or spouse.

If I continue about the smell of the sick which came together the Western

wind, it was like this. About 11 years ago, a pure Myanmar woman

married an alien in a foreign land. After she had lived together with

her husband for over 16 years, she arrived back in Myanmar to look

after her mother whose health was in a serious condition. (It was not

certain whether she came back because of the little Myanmar spirit she

still had in her or because of the information given to her by the

government and the arrangement made by the government.) She is the

one who had won a lot of nation destructive awards for her cries for

the nation and the people to face destruction, poverty and starvation.

She is the latest democracy puppet She Shadow the people are

trying to drive out of the nation defeating cans.

Shi-Shadow who came back to Myanmar to look after the health of

her mother presumed the 1988 unrest as her opportunity and

launched rebukes loudly and rudely like the fish monger reading what

was written by her leftists and rightists advisers. Myanmars still

remember this. After the unrest, Shi-Shadow who was used by her

leftist's masters and flattered and presented awards by her

rightist's masters began to dance very well to their tune. As she was

performing the nation-destructive dance, people did not accept her as

they viewed her with Myanmar spirit and eyes. The nation never

accepted her as her words were without direction but insulting this and

that persons.

Her acts became worst. As ten years had passed, the people can

not tolerate her any more. So they are trying to drive her out of the nation

by beating cans.

Those who played as ministers, followers and worthless persons in her

notorious drama left her, as they knew that they were going to face trouble

due to her acts, speeches and cries. She was left alone as her drama

a troupe was almost disbanded. In that situation, the play director from

the West made various advertisements and cries for the

continued existence of the play actress She Shadow. However the

play director of the West was making advertisements and

cries Shi-Shadow's drama troupe could not continue to stand

or perform plays on Myanmar soil any more. Now there are only ten

persons in the ruined theatre who prepared the stage, pulled the

curtains, sang songs, drove in the stales or addressed "your highness".

Arrangements were made to perform a late-night episode with the

leading play actress as She Shadow. The name of the episode

was "Kopaw-hse-yauk Thu-tayauk (she her the ten foolish

persons).

Her latest episode received a faint applause from the lackeys of the play

director and Nga Mya and his handful of followers from the jungle. As

they had to jump and shout for many times the ten Kopaws (ten

foolish persons) had an ache in their tongue. The play actress She

Shadow herself was totally tired and her drama troupe was about to fall.

The play director began to made perpetrations to destroy the interest

of Myanmar people such as boycotting the conference sponsored

by Interpol, trying to stop EU-ASEAN meeting and launching criticisms

on Myanmar and her people with this and that reports.

ASEAN's unity was so strong. It responded that no EU-ASEAN

meeting could be held without the attendance of Myanmar, which is

a member of ASEAN. All the plots of the Play direct of the West failed.

They can made such plots. When all their perpetrations showed no

results, they are trying to present the patient-to the public.

Shi-Shadow's husband who is suffering from prostate cancer is in a

serious condition. I think that the husband has no permission to call

back her wife to him. Its really funny. I don't know really whether

Shi-Shadow has disowned her husband or whether she

had lost Myanmar spirit. The husband is asking for permission to

drag himself to his wife to receive treatment. She Shadow while posting

her self as the one who left her husband and sons for her patriotic cause

is wearing a Myanmar garment with a thin layer of thanakha on her

face (Thingyan is becoming nearer) and a lot of flowers on her head

(she never wears only a single flower).

If we analyze, the reasons-why she had left her husband and her sons, who

divided them and why they are divided -are known not only by Myanmar

but by the world also. The reason why she came back to Myanmar and

why she violated laws can be known. While she was restricted for

offending laws, the nation had permitted her husband for ten times to

visit Myanmar and to give encouragement to her wife and to receive

the tender attention of his wife.

Our leaders are so magnanimous. As she was just restricted and not jailed,

they permitted her to live with her husband and her sons. The persons

who gave permissions were magnanimous, as they were

permissible. Instead of receiving treatment by the world best

physicians, the most advanced equipment and the

most potent medicines, he is asking for visa to enter Myanmar to meet his

wife. We know such plots thoroughly. If Shi-Shadow is still in the position

to acknowledge her husband, to know the duties of a wife of a

Myanmar woman and to return to her husband, the officials of the nation

will have sympathy on her. I would like to suggest her

to go to her husband to look after his health. The patient-who is in a serious

condition should not come. If this matter is only a family or household

matter, it should not be exaggerated. Her husband should only tell her

"dear I am in a serious condition. You'd better come home." If her

husband has lost this right, the human rights association should

render help.

But now, the illness of an ordinary person has be exaggerated to use as a

political attack. It is like using the patient as a stepping stone. They are

showing the patient to ask help from this or that country in threatening the

nation. It will be like unveiling her evil nature if she does not have any

sense to meet her husband or attend to his needs. If she continue to

dance to the tune of the patient played by the Western play director,

the smell of the patient which will come together with the wind of the

West cannot  overwhelm the fragrance of the flowers blossoming in

the summer  and the unity of the national races. The smell of the patient

will be  gone together with the Western win that is carrying it. If she

continue  to dance to the tune of the patient it will be sure that she is a

real  puppet. Ah! The advertisement is on TV again.
